In chapter 1 of The Staff Of Moses, the WMSCOG (mother god cult) attempts to refute the Christian belief that the "bride of Christ" in Revelation 19, 21 and 22 is the church or "saints." The WMSCOG argues that the bride of Christ is actually a second deity, "mother god." Jordan, Kelsey and Steve explain the biblical problems with this chapter and also show how Ahnsahnghong himself, in his own writings, refutes the arguments that the WMSCOG puts forward.

Jordan, Kelsey Wells and Steve Matthews talk about the World Mission Society Church Of God (the mother god cult) and how it leads its members to a life of burden, guilt and mental, emotional, physical and spiritual exhaustion. Kelsey (a former WMSCOG member) shares the details of what her Saturday Sabbaths looked like and she describes all of the demands and requirements that were put on her and other members. For many WMSCOG members, their "Sabbath" day is the most unrestful and burdensome day of the week. Does this experience reflect a true obedience to the Sabbath and what the 4th commandment is really meant to be about?
Jesus said that his burden is "light" and his yoke is "easy." He promised that when we come to him we will find "rest" for our souls rather than finding more weight added. If your walk with God is leading you to a life of inner "restlessness" rather than "restfulness," then there is something deeply wrong with how you are approaching your faith.

Even after moments of great failure, sin and disobedience, God's "mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Jordan explains the Esau passage in Hebrews 12 where it says...
"See to it that... there be no sexually immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. For you know that even afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears."
This passage grips many people with fear and condemnation and makes them wonder if it is too late to repent for them. In this video Jordan explains why this passage does not teach that it can become impossible to repent for a person who is desperately desiring and longing to.

Hebrews 6 contains an infamous statement that for those who have "fallen away... it is impossible to renew them again to repentance. This passage causes many Christians much torment and fear as they worry that they have committed the unpardonable sin and that they have been "locked out" of salvation. Jordan interprets this passage in a way that should leave anyone with hope who wants to continue in their relationship with Jesus and desires to repent and believe in the gospel.

Scripture passages like Hebrews 6, Hebrews 10 and specific verses about Esau in Hebrews chapter 12 can cause people to become convinced that their sin has disqualified them from the possibility of salvation, and that all they have left to look forward to is the wrath of God and hell. Jordan talks about recent conversations he has been having in the YouTube comments with members of The World Mission Society Church Of God (WMSCOG) - Sometimes referred to as the “mother god cult” - about Sunday, Christmas and Easter. One of the initial assertions that members of the WMSCOG will make if you encounter them is that attending Sunday church services or celebrating Christmas and Easter are “pagan” practices which are sinful and idolatrous. Jordan looks at principles laid out by Paul in 1 Corinthians 8 and 10 concerning “food that has been sacrificed to idols” to explain why the WMSCOG’s condemnation of these things is in error.
The principles Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians show us that in Christ we are free from such scrupulous restrictions and rules. To the believer in Christ whom God has made pure, “all things are pure” (Titus 1:15)— and that gives us the freedom to worship God and celebrate the gospel on any day.
